I’M THANKFUL FOR MY STRUGGLE BECAUSE WITHOUT IT I WOULDN’T HAVE STUMBLED ACROSS MY STRENGTH

My personal journey into the wonderful world of Cheer came in 2019 and was as a result of a rather shy, somewhat clumsy and definitely uncoordinated six-year-old – my beautiful daughter Sydney.

Sydney had been struggling with confidence (in particular at school) and I noticed after only a few short months of attending Cheer, her self-esteem began to grow, and she was a happier little girl, especially at school. In 2020 Sydney was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia and, as I swung into action to try and get her the support she needed at school, it was her great team of fellow athletes and coaches that helped her find her sparkle. Sydney’s love for cheerleading has grown rapidly and I have watched in awe as I see her accomplish so many goals, not just in training but in school and her personal life too.

By the time Sydney entered her fourth season as a cheerleader we were fully immersed in this wondrous world and I was excited to apply my experience as a branding and product designer to this amazing sport. Cheerleading truly is a sport that accepts everyone into their family and brings the best out of athletes. I hope the range of products I’ve designed and created help support this amazing community of athletes to achieve their goals.
